A real, physical piece — never a download. Your Backyard Birds print arrives as framed gallery canvas, ready to hang. Nothing to print, trim, or frame yourself.
What is it made of?
Real cotton canvas, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks and stretched over a solid wood frame (gallery-wrapped). It hangs flush, weighs almost nothing, and there's no glass to catch glare.
Where does the artwork come from?
From the great 19th-century naturalist plates — the hand-painted studies, John James Audubon's chief among them, that taught America to name its birds. Those works are in the public domain. We restore them, compose them by state, label every species by its common name, and print them to order. So what hangs on your wall is real natural-history art, not clip art and not an algorithm's guess at a bird.
Where is it made?
Made to order in the United States. We don't keep stock — each piece is printed and framed for you when you order.
How long until I get it?
Because every piece is made to order, allow 2–5 business days to print, frame and quality-check it, then 4–8 business days to reach you in the U.S. — so roughly 1 to 3 weeks door to door. You'll get a tracking number the moment it leaves the studio.
Are the birds accurate?
Yes, and it's the whole point. Every species on a state plate is a bird that actually lives there — verified, and labeled with its common name. No generic bird art with a state name added on top.
What sizes do you offer?
Three framed sizes: 11×14, 16×20 and 24×30 inches. The 16×20 sits well above a console or a bed; the 24×30 works as a centerpiece over a sofa.
Can I return it?
Yes. You have 30 days. If your piece arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, we replace it or refund you in full and you don't ship anything back. If you simply changed your mind, return it within 30 days in original condition — return shipping is on you unless the error is ours.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes. We ship to Canada and the UK (7–14 business days after production), and to Europe, Australia and most of the world (10–20 business days). Rates are calculated at checkout, and any import duties are set by your country.
